Arctic White Instructions Starter Kit (forming teeth trays) Comes with 2 blue mouth-shaped pieces, 2 white mouth-shaped pieces, and a small container of prophey paste (like the toothpaste the dentist uses to polish your teeth). Brush teeth with prophey paste, rinse with water, and brush teeth again with only water. This gets the teeth nice and clean for molding the teeth trays. Insert one white piece into each blue piece and press together firmly. The white piece is the actual teeth tray, the blue piece is used to help handle and mold the tray to replicate the shape of one's teeth. Fill a microwave-safe cup with water and heat (in the microwave) until water is about the temperature of a very warm bath. DO NOT BOIL. Remove from microwave. Place one of the combined white/blue pieces into the water by holding the tab on the blue piece. Make sure the white piece stays nested inside the blue piece. Jiggle it around a bit to make sure no bubbles are trapped between the two pieces. The trays/pieces will become flexible, and the ends of the horseshoe-shaped mouthpieces curl inward toward each other. Once this happens, remove from water. Place both trays, nested together, into the mouth around the upper teeth. Gently push up with thumbs, and with thumb and forefinger on front and back. Close mouth and suck around the tray to get a perfect fit. Bite lightly, but be careful not to bite through, or it will leave a hole in the tray. Leave in mouth until cool. Remove, discard blue piece, and repeat on lower teeth with the second set of white/blue pieces. Whitening Each Daily Packet is a 3-step process which takes 10 minutes to complete. Step 1 is the Conditioning Rinse (sea green colored vial), step 2 is the Whitening Gel (small stemmed tube with a clear gel content), and step 3 is the Strengthening Wash (light blue colored vial). First, brush teeth. Rinse with Conditioning Rinse (step 1) for 30 seconds. This opens the pores in the teeth so the Whitening Gel can get deep inside to whiten. Spit out. Cut the tip of the stem from the Whitening Gel tube. Apply evenly to the imprints of the BOTTOMS of the teeth. Do not apply to area that would touch front/back of teeth, this may contribute to contact with gums, which may cause irritation. Carefully insert both teeth trays and firmly press up/down onto teeth. Use a q-tip to remove any excess gel that my be touching the gums. It helps to put a tissue in the mouth to avoid excessive salivation and/or swallowing of the Whitening Gel. After about 5 minutes, pull up/down on trays off of teeth, then press back onto teeth. This helps the gel to 'circulate'. Leave on for 4 more minutes (this whitening step takes 9 minutes total). Remove trays and rinse with Strengthening Wash for 30 seconds. This closes up the pores of your teeth. Brush teeth and gums with warm water to remove excess gel. This is important to avoid spotting and irritation. Brush teeth trays GENTLY with COLD water (or they will lose shape). Store in the case provided Strengthen: Rinse for 30 seconds to close the teeth's pores, and to strengthen and protect your new smile.
